The Everglades is a sea of grass. A marshy river, moving 100 feet a day.
There are 6 kinds of native snakes that live in the Everglades, and one 'interloper' - a python that someone bought from a pet shop which had outgrown his cage. He had swallowed a few tennis balls, then the neighbor's dog. So, he was dropped off in the night, then proceeded to romance a harem of coral snakes, resulting in at least 400 python-coral wildewillies. When Park Rangers see them, they're instructed to shoot.
I didn't see any snakes, but I did spot 4 alligators sunning their smelly black torsos, while another hid in the bushes. Check it out:
While Jason took this -

HE was watching us (can you spot him)?

I named him 'Voldemort'
Sufficiently mosquito ridden, we decided to cool off with frozen margaritas in South Beach, just 30 miles away. It couldn't have felt more different.
